why do they go out in the rain?

ducks are at home in water be it a pond or lake or just pouring from up above ,their are made for water & their feathers are water proof so they stay warm & dry beneath their beautiful colourful feathers.
Remember a person adjusting to a new situation with ease is said to have taken to it like a ‘duck takes to water ‘
