Are you really happy around your mate if you had to hide your bad habbits?

I figure, if you are living with your mate for a while, you should be comfortable with accepting their bodily functions, i.e farting, picking yoru nose, etc.

If you had to hide these basics, are you really happy?

I tend to disaggreee. I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 5 years. We love each other. Our personalities are very real and upfront, but as far as bodily functions go…we don’t tend to display them so publicly. I mean, i know he has his "morning glories", he knows i’m the "constipated girlfriend", and so on and so forth…but there’s an appropriate way of being who we are, while still being respectful. Would you go to a family function and fart your way accross the living room? No! Not because you’re "not being yourself," but simply because you respect the fact that nobody wants to eat and suffer at the same time. That’s all it is to it! I know he picks his nose…it bothers the heck outta me. I jst smack his hand and say, "eww, do u mind?" And he’s happy and comfortable as can be.

  1. I think some people hide them because they are being courteous, not because they are unhappy.

  2. I usually don’t jerk it in front of my wife. She feels like she’s competing when that happens.

  4. Well he’s seen our 2 kids being born, so I think bodily functions and such are pretty tame.
